Clinical Pharmacology
Phenylephrine and lerimazolin are vasoconstrictor agents that have a decongestant effect on the nasal mucosa when applied topically. Reduction of mucosal edema leads to normalization of nasal breathing and a decrease in pressure in the paranasal sinuses and the middle ear. The viscous consistency of the solution increases the duration of the drug.
Indications
- acute and chronic rhinitis, sinusitis;
- used as an auxiliary decongestant during diagnostic procedures and surgical procedures.
