Clinical Pharmacology
Ammifurin has a photosensitizing, antipsoriatic effect.
Indications
Vitiligo, gnezdny and total alopecia, fungoid mycosis, psoriasis.
Composition
100 ml contain a mixture of three furocoumarins (isopimpinellin, bergapten and xanthotoxin), isolated from the seeds of the plant ammi large (Ammi majus L.)

Dosage and Administration
Ammifurin solution is applied externally, the solution is applied to the lesion for 1 h before UV irradiation. The maximum course dose - 1-2 bottles of 0.3% solution. Repeated courses are carried out in 1-1.5 months. With extensive lesions - in combination with ingestion of pills (0.02 g).
Adverse reactions
Headache, dizziness, palpitations, cardialgia, dyspepsia, nausea, gastralgia. Overdose of solar and artificial UV radiation - acute dermatitis (skin flushing, swelling, blisters).
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity, acute gastritis, peptic ulcer and 12 duodenal ulcers, pancreatitis, hepatitis, cirrhosis of the liver, nephritis, diabetes mellitus, cachexia, arterial hypertension, decompensated endocrine diseases, thyrotoxicosis, tuberculosis, blood diseases, heart failure, malignancy, malignant endocrine diseases, thyrotoxicosis, tuberculosis, blood diseases, heart failure, malignancy, malignant endocrine diseases , lactation, cataract, multiple pigment nevusy.C caution. Drug interactions

Special instructions
When depigmentation of the skin (leukodermia) associated with the destruction of melanocytes, is ineffective.
It is necessary to warn patients about the possibility of the development of bullous dermatitis with a combination of irradiation of foci of lesion with a mercury-quartz lamp and the effects of solar radiation. The prescribed mode of exposure should be strictly observed.
During treatment it is recommended to wear light-protective glasses during daytime hours.
In the summer months, in order to avoid the cumulative effect of artificial and natural UV radiation, it is recommended to combine treatment with dosed irradiation with sunlight.
The best effect is observed in young people, with a little old disease, in brunettes and persons prone to sunburn.
Treatment must be carried out under close medical supervision.
