Clinical Pharmacology
Basiron AC AS has high antimicrobial activity against Propionibacterium acnes and Staphylococcus epidermidis, has comedonoliticheskoe and anti-inflammatory effect, improves tissue oxygenation, inhibits sebum production in the sebaceous glands, absorbs excess sebaceous secretions and moisturizes the skin.
Benzoyl peroxide, being a powerful oxidizing agent, has a strong bactericidal effect on microorganisms; at the same time, microorganisms are not capable of producing benzoyl peroxide-resistant strains.
In vivo studies according to the results of planting, it was shown that the suppression of the growth of the culture of Propionibacterium acnes by 94% is observed on the 7th day, and on the 15th day - by 97-99%.
The anti-inflammatory effect of benzoyl peroxide is based on the inactivation of free radicals in the focus of inflammation and inhibition of free fatty acids.
The basis of the drug is represented by a complex acrylate copolymer / glycerin; This provides a controlled adsorption of excess sebum and the gradual release of glycerol to soften and moisturize the skin.

Acne.
Composition
1 g of gel contains benzoyl peroxide 25 mg;
excipients: acrylate copolymer, poloxamer 182, carbomer 940 (carbopol 980), glycerin, disodium edetate, sodium dioctyl sulfosuccinate, propylene glycol, anhydrous colloidal silicon, sodium hydroxide, distilled water.

Dosage and Administration
The gel should be applied on a clean and dry surface of the affected skin 1 or 2 times / day (morning or evening). The course of treatment is 3 months. The therapeutic effect develops 4 weeks after the start of the drug. Lasting improvement occurs after 3 months of therapy.
Basiron AC AS is indicated for the treatment of mild to moderate acne with pustular elements predominating as monotherapy, and for moderate acne also in combination with other local (retinoids) and systemic (antibiotics, antiandrogens for oral administration).
If necessary, may conduct a second course of treatment.
Adverse reactions
In rare cases, local irritation (redness, peeling, dry skin, burning sensation). In such cases, it is recommended to reduce the frequency of use.
In rare cases, allergic contact dermatitis may occur.
Contraindications

Special instructions

During the period of use of the drug should avoid contact with the places of its application of direct sunlight, because It may cause skin irritation.
In the period of application of Basiron AC AC, simultaneous use of drying or irritating agents (perfumes or ethanol-containing agents) is not recommended.
Overdosage
Symptoms: If a large amount of the drug is accidentally applied to the skin, severe irritation may occur at the site of application.
Treatment: the drug should be discontinued and symptomatic therapy should be carried out.
