Clinical Pharmacology
Means of plant origin; The infusion and decoction of bearberry has a diuretic, antiseptic effect due to the strong bactericidal properties of hydroquinone, which is formed in the body during hydrolysis of arbutin and is excreted in the urine. The diuretic effect is enhanced by the spasmolytic action of flavonoids; tannins have a bactericidal and astringent effect.

Dosage and Administration
2 filter bags (3 g) are placed in a glass or enamel bowl, pour 200 ml (1 cup) of boiling water, cover and infuse for 15 minutes, periodically pressing the bags with a spoon, then squeezing them. The volume of the resulting infusion is brought to 200 ml with boiled water.
Is ingested in the form of heat and 1 tablespoon 3-5 times a day after 40 minutes after eating. The course of treatment is 20-25 days. It is possible to repeat the course after a 10-12 day break, but not more than 4 courses per year.
Before use, the infusion is recommended to shake.

When taking large doses of bearberry preparations or with their long-term use, an exacerbation of inflammatory diseases of the kidneys may be observed as a result of prolonged irritation of the renal tubules.
