Clinical Pharmacology
Cholinomimetic. It is a precursor of acetylcholine. It has an effect mainly on cholinergic receptors in the CNS. Glycerophosphate, which is formed by the cleavage of choline alfoscerate, is a precursor of the phospholipids (phosphatidylcholine) of the neuron membrane. Facilitates the transmission of nerve impulses in cholinergic neurons, improves the plasticity of neuronal membranes and the function of receptors.
Suggested use
For oral use. : 400 mg 3 times / day, the course of treatment 3-6 months. IM or / in: 1 g / day.
Indications
Acute period of traumatic brain injury with a predominantly stem lesion level, chronic cerebrovascular insufficiency (dyscirculatory encephalopathy); dementia syndrome of various origins, incl. Alzheimer's disease; ischemic stroke (early and late recovery period); Gottington's chorea; senile pseudomelancholia.
Composition
1 fl. choline alfoscerat 600 mg Excipients: methyl parahydroxybenzoate 8 mg, propyl parahydroxybenzoate 2.4 mg, sodium saccharinate 3 mg, orange flavoring 29 mg, purified water to 7 ml.
