Clinical Pharmacology
Antiallergic, antihistamine, antipruritic.
Indications
Pruritus of various origins (not associated with cholestasis), for example, pruritic dermatosis, eczema, urticaria, insect bites;
Sunburns, household and industrial burns (mild).
Composition
Active ingredient: dimetindena maleate; 1 g of gel contains dimetindena maleate 1 mg.
Excipients: benzalkonium chloride, sodium edetate, carbomer 974P, sodium hydroxide, propylene glycol, purified water.

Dosage and Administration
Topically. The gel is applied to the affected skin 2-4 times a day. In cases of severe itching or common skin lesions, the simultaneous use of oral forms of antihistamines is recommended.
Adverse reactions
Dryness, burning skin. In rare cases - skin rash and itching.
Contraindications
hypersensitivity to dimetinden and other components of the drug;
angle-closure glaucoma;
prostatic hyperplasia;
children up to 1 month, especially premature.
With care: pregnancy (I trimester); lactation period.
Drug interactions
Any drug interactions of the Fenistil gel are unknown.
Pregnancy and Lactation
Use of the drug in the first trimester of pregnancy is possible only after consulting a doctor. In the II and III trimesters of pregnancy, as well as during lactation Fenistil® The gel should not be used on large areas of the skin, especially in the presence of inflammation or bleeding.
Nursing mothers should not put the drug on the nipples of the mammary glands.
Special instructions
In infants and young children should not use the drug in large areas of the skin, especially in the presence of signs of inflammation or bleeding.
In case of severe itching or damage to large areas of skin, the drug can be used only after consulting a doctor. When applying the Fenistil gel to large areas of the skin, avoid exposure to sunlight.
If during the period of use of the Fenistil gel, the severity of the symptoms of the disease does not decrease or, on the contrary, increases, you should consult a doctor.
Ineffective with itching associated with cholestasis.
Influence on ability of driving of motor transport and management of mechanisms. Does not affect.
Overdosage
No cases of drug overdose have been reported.
