Clinical Pharmacology
Flucinar - antiexudative, antipruritic, anti-allergic, anti-inflammatory.
Inhibits phospholipase A2, reduces the synthesis of PG and the release of macrophage chemotactic factor.
Pharmacodynamics
It has a pronounced anti-inflammatory, antiallergic and antipruritic effect, reduces the migration of macrophages and lymphocytes into the inflammatory focus, stabilizes the lysosomal membranes and prevents the release of lysosomal enzymes, blocks the release of histamine and basophils histamine and other biologically active substances. 40 times more active than hydrocortisone.
Indications
Severe inflammatory and allergic diseases of the skin and mucous membranes (including those resistant to other corticosteroids): neurodermatitis, eczema, psoriasis, lichen planus, seborrheic dermatitis.
Composition
1 g ointment contains:
Active substance: Fluocinolone acetonide 0.25 mg;
Excipients: propylene glycol; citric acid; anhydrous lanolin; Vaseline white.

Dosage and Administration
Topically. Apply on the affected surface, slightly rubbing, 1-2 times a day, not more than 2 g / day. In psoriasis, an occlusive dressing is possible. Course duration - no more than 1-2 weeks. On the skin of the face is used very carefully and not more than 1 week.
Children older than 2 years - with caution, only 1 time per day, in small areas of the skin.
Adverse reactions
Atrophy of the skin and subcutaneous fat, lupus-like syndrome with mild, the emergence or worsening symptoms of lichen planus, violations epithelialization, slow healing of wounds and ulcers, petechiae, steroid purpura, striae, hirsutism, alopecia in women, maculopapular rash.
Contraindications

Pregnancy and Lactation
Not recommended during pregnancy.
Special instructions
Avoid prolonged use of the drug Flucinar. With prolonged use of GCS in large areas of the skin, the frequency of adverse reactions in the form of peripheral edema, hypertension, hyperglycemia, and immunosuppressive action increases.
With the development of a secondary infection at the site of the use of Flucinar, antibacterial and antifungal therapy should be prescribed.
With extreme caution should use the drug on the skin of the eyelids or in the eye area in patients with glaucoma and cataracts, in connection with the possible increase in symptoms of the disease.
When applied to the skin increases the absorption of the drug and even after short-term use increases the possibility of side effects (telangiectasia, skin atrophy, perioral dermatitis). Use the drug in this area should be especially careful.
With caution, Flucinar should be prescribed to persons with existing atrophic changes in the skin, especially elderly patients.
Overdosage
Symptoms: with non-compliance with the dosing regimen (long-term use of the drug in large areas of the skin) may develop systemic side effects of the drug, such as increased blood pressure, edema, immunosuppressive effect.
