Clinical Pharmacology
RectActiv is a laxative of plant origin.
Triterpene saponin escin contained in horse chestnut extract stimulates the intestinal mucosa interoreceptors, causing an increase in its motility and rapid evacuation of fecal masses. The effect occurs within 5-15 minutes after applying the suppository. The urge to empty the bowel stop after an act of defecation. The drug does not cause stretching of the walls of the rectum, strengthens and tones the smooth muscles of the body. In exchange use the drug restores the defecation reflex and normalizes the biorhythm of defecation.
