Clinical Pharmacology

The combined drug, inhibits the development of inflammatory skin reactions, especially of allergic origin, complicated by bacterial infection, as a result of the total action of the components that make up the drug. Oxytetracycline is an antibiotic from the tetracycline group, has a bacteriostatic effect. Active against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, Rickettsia spp., Treponema spp., Chlamydia spp., Mycoplasma spp. Hydrocortisone - glucocorticosteroid, has anti-inflammatory, anti-allergic, anti-exudative and antipruritic effects. Inhibits phagocytosis; reduces the synthesis of prostaglandins and leukotrienes by inhibiting the activity of phospholipase A2 and reducing the release of arachidonic acid from the phospholipids of cell membranes. Inhibits the release of interleukins and other cytokines that cause the inflammatory process; inhibits the release of histamine and the occurrence of local allergic reactions. Reduces the synthesis of proteins and the deposition of collagen in the skin, prevents the development of connective tissue, weakens proliferative processes.
