Clinical Pharmacology

The combined drug has antipyretic, analgesic, angioprotective, anti-edema action.

Paracetamol has antipyretic, analgesic effect.

Ascorbic acid (vitamin C) is involved in the regulation of carbohydrate metabolism, redox processes, the synthesis of steroid hormones, tissue regeneration, activates immune reactions, reduces capillary permeability, enhances the detoxification function of the liver, regulates blood clotting. Fills the deficit of vitamin C with "cold" diseases.

Succinic acid enhances biochemical and physiological recovery processes. It has hepatoprotective, immunomodulatory and antioxidant effects. It activates energy processes in mitochondria, normalizes the permeability of cell membranes, is an intermediate of the Krebs cycle. In combination with drugs, it enhances their positive effect and reduces the manifestations of toxic effects.

Rutozid reduces capillary permeability, relieves swelling and inflammation, strengthens the vascular wall, inhibits aggregation and increases the degree of red blood cell deformation.

Phenylephrine stimulates postsynaptic α-adrenoreceptors, reduces swelling and hyperemia of the nasal mucosa, restores free breathing, reduces pressure in the paranasal sinuses and middle ear.

Indications

Symptomatic treatment of "colds" diseases and flu, accompanied by fever, headache, chills, nasal congestion, sore throat and sinuses.

Composition

Auxiliary substances: cranberry flavor or lime flavor, or wild berries flavor, or raspberry flavor, or mint flavor - 60 mg, aspartame - 30 mg, hyprolosis - 30 mg, colloidal silicon dioxide - 10 mg, lactose monohydrate - 4075 mg.

Dosage and Administration

The drug is administered orally after a meal - 2 capsules or 1 sachet with an interval of 4-6 hours, but not more than 4 times / day, for 3 days. The maximum daily dose is 8 capsules or 4 sachets.
If within 3 days after the start of treatment there is no improvement in well-being, the patient should stop taking the drug and consult a doctor.
Capsules are taken after meals with a large amount of water.
The contents of 1 sachet must be dissolved in a glass of boiled hot water and taken hot. Stir before use.

Adverse reactions

When used in recommended doses, the drug is well tolerated, side effects are extremely rare.
On the part of the hematopoietic system: agranulocytosis, thrombocytopenia, thrombocytosis, hyperprothrombinemia, erythropenia, neutrophilic leukocytosis, anemia.
Since the cardiovascular system: increased blood pressure, bradycardia, arrhythmia, angina.
Nervous system disorders: headache, agitation, irritability, anxiety, weakness, dizziness, respiratory depression, tremor.
On the part of the digestive system: nausea, vomiting, diarrhea.

Contraindications

Drug interactions

Stimulants of microsomal oxidation in the liver (phenytoin, ethanol, barbiturates, rifampicin, phenylbutazone, tricyclic antidepressants) increase the production of hydroxylated active metabolites of paracetamol, with the possibility of severe intoxication with a slight overdose.

Paracetamol enhances the effects of MAO inhibitors, sedative drugs, ethanol.

Antidepressants, anti-parkinsonian, antipsychotic drugs, phenothiazine derivatives increase the risk of urinary retention, dry mouth, constipation.

GCS with simultaneous use of the drug increases the risk of glaucoma.

Phenylephrine reduces the hypotensive effect of guanethidine.

Guanethidine enhances the alpha-adrenostimulating effect, and tricyclic antidepressants increase the sympathomimetic effect of phenylephrine.

If necessary, joint use of the drug Influnet® with other drugs, the patient should consult with your doctor.

Special instructions

The duration of the drug without consulting a doctor should not exceed 3 days.
When using the drug may distort the results of laboratory tests, assessing the concentration of glucose and uric acid in plasma.
Persons who are prone to alcohol should be consulted with a physician before starting treatment with Influnet®, since paracetamol may have a damaging effect on the liver.

Overdosage

Symptoms (overdose mainly caused by paracetamol): pale skin, anorexia, nausea, vomiting and abdominal pain, increased activity of hepatic transaminases, increased prothrombin time, hepatonecrosis, arrhythmia, ventricular tachycardia, increased blood pressure.
Treatment: at the prehospital stage - gastric lavage, administration of Activated charcoal, symptomatic therapy. Paracetamol antidote is acetylcysteine. In case of overdose, the patient should consult a doctor.
