Clinical Pharmacology
Combined medication, the action of which is due to its constituent components.
Lysozyme is an enzyme of a proteinaceous nature, is used as an antiseptic due to its direct effect on gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, as well as fungi and viruses, and is involved in the regulation of local nonspecific immunity.
Pyridoxine - has a protective effect on the mucous membrane of the oral cavity (it has an anti-aphthous effect). Does not affect the pharmacodynamic properties of lysozyme
Indications
Treatment of infectious and inflammatory diseases of the oral mucosa, gums and larynx: gingivitis, stomatitis, catarrhal phenomena in the upper respiratory tract, aphthous ulcerations, herpetic lesions (as part of complex therapy), erosion of the oral mucosa of any etiology.
Composition
One lozenge contains:

lysozyme hydrochloride 20.00 mg
pyridoxine hydrochloride 10.00 mg
Excipients: lactose monohydrate, gum tragacanth, magnesium stearate, sodium saccharinate, vanillin.

Dosage and Administration
The drug is applied topically. pills should be slowly absorbed, not chewed, delaying the melted mass of pills in the oral cavity as long as possible, until complete dissolution. Children aged 3-7 years are usually prescribed 1 tablet 3 times a day, 7-12 years old - 1 tablet 4 times a day. Adults and children over the age of 12 take 2 pills 3-4 times a day.
The course of treatment is 8 days.

Hereditary lactose intolerance, lactase deficiency or glucose-galactose malabsorption.
Drug interactions
The drug Lizobact® enhances the action of antibiotics, including penicillin, chloramphenicol, nitrofurantoin, enhances the effect of diuretics, weakens the activity of levodopa. Isoniazid, penicillamine, pyrazinamide, immunosuppressants, estrogens, and oral contraceptives may increase the need for pyridoxine (antagonistic effect on pyridoxine or increased renal excretion).
Pregnancy and Lactation
Perhaps the use of Lizobakta for indications during pregnancy and lactation (breastfeeding).

Overdosage
Symptoms of overdose are unlikely, may occur after use at doses much higher than therapeutic and manifest a feeling of numbness, tingling, as well as loss of sensitivity in the upper and lower extremities.
