Clinical Pharmacology

Ointment Lorinden C has anti-inflammatory, anti-allergic, antipruritic and anti-microbial action.
Flumetazon inhibits phospholipase A2, reduces the synthesis of PG and other biologically active substances. Clioquinol (iodhlorohydroxyquinoline) causes the death of microorganisms.

Indications

Impetigo, allergic skin diseases (with the addition of a secondary infection), resistant to treatment with other drugs, herpes, herpes zoster, eczema, seborrheic dermatitis, erythema, erythroderma (especially with the addition of secondary infection).

Composition

1 g of ointment for external use contains: Flumetazon pivalate 200 mg, Clioquinol (iodchloroxyquinoline) 30 mg.

Excipients: white wax; Vaseline white.

Dosage and Administration

Topically. Ointment is applied with a thin layer on the affected skin, at the beginning of treatment - 2-3 times a day, with the appearance of positive dynamics - 1-2 times a day; duration of use - no more than 2 weeks. If necessary, use a bandage that lets air through. With excessive lichenisation and hyperkeratosis, only under the occlusive dressing 1 time in 24–48 hours, for no more than 1 week.
If necessary, do not use more than 2 g of ointment per day.
In adolescents after 10 years - only in exceptional cases, in limited areas of the skin, avoiding the application of the drug on the skin.

Adverse reactions

Local reactions: rarely - burning, itching, steroid acne, stretch marks, dry skin, folliculitis; with prolonged use - atrophy of the skin, local hirsutism, telangiectasia, purpura, pigmentation disorders.
Systemic reactions: with prolonged use and / or application to large areas of the skin, side effects characteristic of GCS are possible.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity (including to individual components), tuberculosis, syphilis and viral infections of the skin, tumors and precancerous skin diseases, skin vaccine reactions.

Drug interactions

During therapy with Lorinden C, vaccination and immunization should not be carried out due to the immunosuppressive effect of the drug.
The drug should not be prescribed in combination with other drugs for external use.
When absorbed into the systemic circulation, flumetasone reduces the effectiveness of insulin, oral hypoglycemic agents, antihypertensive drugs, anticoagulants, decreases the concentration of salicylates and praziquantel in the blood serum.
With combined use increases the risk of side effects of androgens, estrogens, oral contraceptives, anabolic steroids (hirsutism, acne); antipsychotic drugs, bucarban, azathioprine (cataract); holinoblokatorov, antihistamine drugs, tricyclic antidepressants, nitrates (glaucoma); diuretics (hypokalemia), cardiac glycosides (digitalis intoxication).

Pregnancy and Lactation

Acceptable, but should not be applied to large areas of skin.

Special instructions

With caution used for mycoses of the skin.

Overdosage

Cases of overdose are rare.
Symptoms: with improper, frequent or long-term use in large quantities over large areas, systemic side effects of GCS may occur.
Treatment: gradual withdrawal of the drug; symptomatic therapy.
