Clinical Pharmacology
Glyciphonic ointment shows a local effect in tumors and pretumor diseases of the skin. Selectively inhibits metabolism in blastomatous cells, which is explained by antimitotic effect, especially pronounced in the acidic environment of the tumor tissue. It also has antimicrobial activity.
Indications
- squamous cell skin cancer stage I;
- basal cell carcinoma (including tumor recurrence after surgical treatment and radiation therapy);
- Bowen disease;
- senile keratosis.
Composition
10 g contains glyciphon 3 g
excipients: vaseline medical; anhydrous lanolin
in banks or aluminum tubes of 10 g.
No customer reviews for the moment.
Dosage and Administration
Locally. Apply 0.8–2.0 g of ointment (depending on the size of the focus) on the skin in the tumor growth zone or keratosis, previously rubbed with an alcohol swab, covered with gauze cloth and fixed with adhesive tape. At each ligation, the focus and the surrounding skin are rubbed with alcohol, the necrotic tissue is removed. Applications are carried out daily, 1 time per day until complete destruction of the tumor tissue. The duration of treatment is determined by the location and size of the lesion.
In the treatment of recurrent tumors, small-basal forms of basaliomas in the forehead and nose make 15-20 applications, with ulcers, with surface type basal cell carcinomas and Bowen's disease - 10-15, with senile keratosis - 5-10 applications.
After completing the course, dressings are applied daily (aseptic or with antiseptic ointments) to the resulting defect until complete scarring.
Adverse reactions
Erythema of the periorbital region, hyperemia, edema (in these cases, treatment takes a break for 2-3 days and prescribe lotions with a solution of nitrofural or ointment with GCS, after a break, treatment is continued); pain at the site of application (to reduce pain, you can simultaneously apply 5–10% ointment with benzocaine on the focus).
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to the drug components, pregnancy, breastfeeding period, children's age.
Carefully:
Carefully apply the drug on the skin areas located near the periorbital area. Avoid contact with eyes.
Drug interactions
Drug interaction of the drug Glyciphonic ointment 30% is not described.
Pregnancy and Lactation
Contraindicated in pregnancy. At the time of treatment should stop breastfeeding.
