Clinical Pharmacology
Silymar - hepatoprotective drug of plant origin.
It has hepatoprotective and anti-toxic effects. The therapeutic effect is due to the effect on the metabolism of hepatocytes. It activates the synthesis of proteins and enzymes in hepatocytes, has a stabilizing effect on the membrane of hepatocytes, inhibits the penetration of toxins into the liver cells, inhibits dystrophic and potentiates the regenerative processes in the liver.
Indications
- Toxic liver damage;
- chronic hepatitis;
- cirrhosis of the liver (as part of complex therapy);
- condition after suffering hepatitis;
- in order to prevent chronic intoxication (including professional), long-term medication and alcohol.
Composition
1 tablet contains:
Active substances: milk thistle fruit extract - 100 mg.
Excipients: lactose, potato starch, magnesium stearate.

Dosage and Administration
Assign inside adults 1-2 tab. 3 times / day The course of treatment is 25-30 days. If necessary, repeat the course in 1-3 months.
The drug is taken 30 minutes before a meal.
