Mucofalk - laxative.
Pharmacodynamics
Hydrophilic fibers from the sheath of psyllium seeds retain fluid in the gastrointestinal tract, thereby increasing the volume and soften the consistency of stool. The drug restores normal bowel function, regulating its activity and facilitating the passage of intestinal contents.
Indications
- constipation (including during pregnancy);
- anal fissures;
- hemorrhoids;
- the postoperative period with interventions in the anorectal region (in order to create a softer stool consistency);
- functional diarrhea;
- irritable bowel syndrome.
Composition
1 sachet (5 g) contains:
Active substance: powder of shells of plantain seed oval Plantago ovata Forssk.3.25 g;
Excipients: sucrose - 0.4795 g; citric acid - 0.435 g; dextrin - 0.294 g; sodium alginate - 0.2515 g; sodium citrate - 0.225 g; sodium chloride - 0,015 g; sodium saccharin - 0.01 g; orange flavor - 0.04 g

Dosage and Administration
For oral use. 1 sachet 1-3 times a day, 30 minutes before meals or 2 hours after meals. Before use, pour the contents of 1 sachet with a glass of cold water, stir and drink immediately, then drink another glass of liquid.
Adverse reactions
Allergic reactions are possible.
In the first days of treatment, a feeling of fullness may appear in the stomach.
Contraindications
- hypersensitivity to the drug;
- organic contractions of the gastrointestinal tract;
- intestinal obstruction;
- abdominal pain of obscure origin;
- deficiency of sucrase-isomaltase;
- fructose intolerance;
- glucose-galactose malabsorption;
- decompensated diabetes;
- children up to 18 years;
- phenylketonuria.
Drug interactions
It should not be administered simultaneously with antidiarrheal drugs, as well as drugs that suppress intestinal motility.
Fibralax can slow down the absorption of simultaneously used drugs. It is necessary to observe an interval of 30-60 minutes between taking Fnbralax and other drugs.
Pregnancy and Lactation
The use of the drug during pregnancy and breastfeeding may be prescribed by a doctor.
Special instructions
When taking the drug should drink at least 1.5 liters of fluid per day. An incorrect intake procedure (with an insufficient amount of fluid) can lead to irritation of the esophagus or the intestines, especially in the elderly. In patients with insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus, a reduction in insulin dosage may be required.
