- hypovitaminosis of PP, avitaminosis of PP (pellagra);

Composition

Active ingredient: nicotinic acid - 10 mg. Excipients: sodium bicarbonate - 7 mg, water for injection - up to 1 ml.

Dosage and Administration

Inside after eating. As an antipellargic agent, nicotinic acid is prescribed for adults at 0.1 g 2-4 times per day (the highest daily dose of 0.5 g).For children prescribed from 0.0125 to 0.05 g 2-3 times a day depending on age. The course of treatment is 15-20 days.

For adults for ischemic cerebral circulation disorders, vascular spasms of the limbs, gastritis with low acidity, neuritis of the facial nerve, wounds and ulcers, nicotinic acid is recommended to be administered in a single dose of 0.05-0.1 g - 1 month.

Adverse reactions

Redness of the face and upper half of the body (especially when taken on an empty stomach and in persons with hypersensitivity), dizziness, feeling of a rush of blood to the head, paresthesia, urticaria.

With the rapid on / in the introduction and with increased sensitivity - orthostatic hypotension.

With prolonged use - dystrophy of the liver, increased uric acid in the blood, reduced glucose tolerance.

Contraindications

  • Hypersensitivity to the drug;
  • peptic ulcer and 12 duodenal ulcers (in the acute stage);
  • severe arterial hypertension;
  • gout;
  • hyperuricemia, nephrolithiasis, liver cirrhosis, decompensated diabetes mellitus.
