Clinical Pharmacology

The preparation Ocuflash is a special isotonic buffer solution, which includes an ophthalmologic extract as an additional component. When instilled in the eye eyebright extract has anti-inflammatory, disinfectant, as well as adringentnoe effect. It can be used to support the treatment and prevention of non-infectious inflammation of the eyelids, connective membranes and to calm the eyes.

This product is recommended for use by adults and children. It is absolutely safe, can be assigned to newborns, children at the breast, pregnant women and nursing mothers.

Indications

removal of any foreign bodies, dust, chlorinated water from the eye;
eye rinsing after gonioscopy and tonometry;
leaching of purulent and mucous secretions;
eye relaxation after using hard contact lenses;
first aid in contact with eyes of minor amounts of acids or alkalis;
as a supportive agent for some non-infectious inflammations in the connective membranes, chronic conjunctivitis;
as a suitable makeup remover.

Composition

In 1 ml of solution contains:

Main active substance: sodium chloride -7 mg;

Auxiliary components: benzalkonium chloride - 0.04 mg, disodium edetate dihydrate, potassium chloride, magnesium chloride hexahydrate, tincture of an ochanka drug, polysorbate 80, borax, sodium hydroxide, water.

Dosage and Administration

For the maintenance treatment of non-infectious inflammation of the conjunctiva or eyelid, it is recommended to instill 2 drops of the drug up to 4x daily in the conjunctival cavity of the affected eye (s). In case of inflammation, the solution can be used to make compresses.

In order to get rid of the foreign body in the eye, the solution is not used until the foreign body is removed and the problem is not fixed.

Method of application: Ocuflash is ready for use immediately after opening. It is only necessary to unscrew the protective cap, slightly tilt your head back, turn the bottle upside down and instil the required number of drops by pressing on the plastic bottle. The amount of solution needed will depend on the method of use.

Washing of the affected eye in the solution is carried out using the drug by the method of discharge, which is carried out by long pressing on the bottle and holding it.

Adverse reactions

Ocuflash well tolerated, but sometimes, immediately after its application occurs, passing feeling of light burning. In addition, allergic reactions may occur.

Individual hypersensitivity.

Pregnancy and Lactation

May be prescribed to pregnant women and nursing mothers.

Special instructions

When using the drug Ocuflash, it is not recommended to wear soft lenses (especially hydrophilic). Hard contact lenses are also not recommended for use during drug treatment. If this is not possible, the lenses should be removed before each instillation; you can put them on again only after 20 minutes after instillation.

If Ocuflash is prescribed in complex therapy with other ophthalmologic agents, it is necessary to make an interval of 5 minutes between their alternate use.

When using the product, it is necessary to ensure that the dropper nose does not come into contact with any surfaces.

The drug can not affect the concentration of attention when driving a car or operating equipment. But, after its use, there is a temporary visual impairment, therefore any activities requiring increased attention should be performed only after this effect is completely stopped.
