Clinical Pharmacology

Immunomodulatory, antiviral, antiallergic, anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, local anesthetic, regenerating.

Oftalmoferon has a broad spectrum of antiviral activity, anti-inflammatory, immunomodulatory, antimicrobial, local anesthetic and regenerating action.

Indications

Adenoviral, hemorrhagic (enterovirus), herpetic conjunctivitis.
Adenoviral, herpetic (vesicular, spot, treelike, potato) keratitis.
Herpetic stromal keratitis with corneal ulceration and without ulceration.
Adenoviral and herpetic keratoconjunctivitis.
Herpetic uveitis.
Herpetic keratouveitis (with and without ulceration).

Composition

1 ml of eye drops contains:

Active ingredients

Interferon human recombinant alpha-2 - not less than 10,000 IU.
Dimedrol - 0,001 g.
Boric acid - 0,0031 g.

Excipients

Polyvinylpyrrolidone - 0.01 g, polyethylene oxide - 0.05 g, Trilon B - 0.0004 g, hypromellose - 0.003 g, sodium chloride - 0.004 g, sodium acetate - 0.007 g.

Dosage and Administration

In the acute stage of the disease, Oftalmoferon is used in the form of instillations into the eyes, 1-2 drops up to 6-8 times a day. As the inflammatory process is relieved, the number of instillations is reduced to 2-3 times a day.

The course of treatment is continued until the symptoms of the disease disappear.
