Clinical Pharmacology

Glue BF-6 - wound healing and antiseptic drug. It is used as an insulating agent, promotes healing of small skin wounds due to the formation of an insulating film on their surface. The latter is elastic and resistant to mechanical and chemical influences. When the root of the tooth is coated with BF-6 glue, the conditions for isolation of microflora of small root tubules from tissue destruction products are created.

Indications

Glue BF-6 is used to treat microtraumas - abrasions, scratches, cuts and other minor skin lesions, as well as to cover the root of the tooth in the surgical treatment of near-root dental foci of infection: cysts, granulomas.

Composition

The composition of the adhesive includes:

  • A solution of phenol-formaldehyde modification - resin, polyvinyl butyral and rosin, plasticized with plasticizer.

Dosage and Administration

Glue BF-6 is used topically for adults and children. Glue BF-6 is not recommended for children under one year old. Before applying the adhesive BF-6 skin area is thoroughly cleaned from dirt. Cotton swab or gauze to stop bleeding and dry the place to be covered with glue. The latter is applied to the skin in a thin, uniform layer to fully cover the area of ​​damage and adjacent intact tissues (do not apply a bandage). In the surgical treatment of peri-root foci of infection, the root of the tooth is thoroughly cleaned from granulation and the cyst membrane, stops bleeding, dries and glue the part of the root of the tooth that protrudes into the bone defect of the jaw, preventing the glue from leaking onto the bone. After 1 - 2 minutes, the wound is dried, observing the filling of the near-root defect of the jaw with a blood clot. Further management of the postoperative period is normal. The film is formed within 2 to 5 minutes after the application of BF-6 and firmly held on the skin for 2 to 3 days, and at the top of the tooth root up to 7 days.
