Clinical Pharmacology

Combined preparation for local use in gynecology. It has antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, antiprotozoal, antifungal effects; ensures the integrity of the vaginal mucosa and constancy of pH.

Ternidazole - an antifungal agent from the group of imidazole derivatives, reduces the synthesis of ergosterol (an integral part of the cell membrane), changes the structure and properties of the cell membrane. It has trichomonacid action, is also active against anaerobic bacteria, in particular, gardnerell.

Neomycin - broad-spectrum antibiotic from the group of aminoglycosides. Bactericidal against gram-positive (Staphylococcus, Streptococcus pneumoniae) and gram-negative (Escherichia coli, Shigella dysenteriae, Shigella flexneri, Shigella boydii, Shigella sonnei, Proteus spp.) Microorganisms; in respect of Streptococcus spp., inactive.

The resistance of microorganisms develops slowly and to a small extent.

Nystatin - antifungal antibiotic from the group of polyenes, highly effective against yeast-like fungi of the genus Candida, changes the permeability of cell membranes and slows their growth.

Prednisolone - dehydrated analogue of hydrocortisone, has a pronounced anti-inflammatory, anti-allergic, anti-exudative effect.

Indications

Treatment of vaginitis caused by microorganisms sensitive to the drug, including:

bacterial vaginitis;
trichomoniasis of the vagina;
vaginitis caused by fungi of the genus Candida;
mixed vaginitis.

Prevention of vaginitis, including:

before gynecological operations;
before childbirth and abortion;
before and after the installation of intrauterine devices;
before and after cervical diathermocoagulation;
before hysterography.

Composition

1 tablet contains:

Active substances: Ternidazole - 0.2 g, neomycin sulfate - 0.1 g or 65000 IU, nystatin - 100 000 IU, prednisolone sodium metasulfobenzoate - 0.0047 g, equivalent to prednisolone - 0.003 g

Excipients: wheat starch - 0.264 g, lactose monohydrate - q.s. up to 1.2 g, colloidal silicon dioxide - 0.006 g, magnesium stearate - 0.01 g, sodium carboxymethyl starch - 0.048 g.

Dosage and Administration

For vaginal application. One pill is inserted deep into the vagina in the "lying" position before bedtime. Before insertion into the vagina, the tablet should be held in water for 20-30 seconds. After the introduction, you need to lie down for 10 - 15 minutes. The average duration of the therapeutic course of therapy is 10 days; in case of confirmed mycosis can be increased up to 20 days; The average duration of a prophylactic course is 6 days.

Adverse reactions

Burning sensation, itching and irritation of the vagina (especially at the beginning of treatment).
