Clinical Pharmacology
Antiseptic agent of plant origin. Pharmacological properties due to biologically active substances that are part of the drug. Tonsilgon® H has anti-inflammatory and antiseptic action. The active components of the preparation of chamomile, althea and horsetail contribute to the activity of nonspecific defense factors of the body. Polysaccharides, essential oils and flavonoids of chamomile, althea and yarrow, oak bark tannins have an anti-inflammatory effect and help reduce the swelling of the respiratory tract mucosa.
Suggested use
The drug is taken orally. Drops for ingestion are taken undiluted by holding the mouth for some time before swallowing. In the acute period of the disease: adults - 25 drops 5–6 times / day, children of school age (older than 6 years) - 15 drops 5–6 times / day, children of preschool age (older than 1 year) - 10 drops each –6 times / day. After the disappearance of the acute symptoms of the disease (sore throat), treatment with the drug should be continued for another 1 week: adults - 25 drops 3 times / day, children of school age (over 6 years old) - 15 drops 3 times / day, children of preschool age (older than 1 year) - 10 drops 3 times / day. Before use, the drug should be shaken.
Indications
acute and chronic diseases of the upper respiratory tract (tonsillitis, pharyngitis, laryngitis); prevention of complications of respiratory viral infections and as an adjunct to antibiotic therapy for bacterial infections.
Composition
100 g hydroalcoholic extract 29 g from a mixture of medicinal plant materials: Althea roots 0.4 g daisy flowers 0.3 g horsetail grass 0.5 g walnut leaves 0.4 g Yarrow grass 0.4 g oak bark 0.2 g dandelion herb medicinal 0.4 g Auxiliary substances: purified water - 71 g.

Special instructions
The content in the preparation of ethyl alcohol ranges from 16.0 to 19.5% (by volume). In the maximum single dose (25 drops) the content of absolute ethanol is 0.21 g; in the maximum daily dose (25 drops 6 times a day) - 1.26 g.
If, when using the drug for 7 days, the symptoms of the disease persist or the patient's condition worsens, consult a doctor.
During the storage of the drug, a slight clouding or slight precipitation may occur, which does not affect the effectiveness of the drug.

Overdosage

Symptoms: in case of overdose, the side effects of the gastrointestinal tract may be increased.
