Clinical Pharmacology
Urolesan - a spasmolytic agent of plant origin. The drug has antispasmodic, anti-inflammatory, antiseptic effect, enhances cholera and biliary excretion, increases diuresis, acidifies urine, increases the excretion of urea and chlorides.
Urolesan is a complex of biologically active components; therefore, its pharmacokinetic studies are not possible.
Indications
- in the treatment of acute and chronic urinary tract infections and kidneys (cystitis, pyelonephritis);
- urolithiasis disease;
- cholelithiasis;
- chronic cholecystitis;
- hyperkinetic type of biliary dyskinesia.
Composition
1 capsule contains:
Active substances: Urolesan extract is thick, in terms of moisture content of 10% - 10.70 mg (in terms of dry matter: carrots of wild seed extract - 1.84 mg, hop extracts - 6.33 mg, oregano grass extract - 1.46 mg); peppermint leaf oil - 7.46 mg; fir oil - 25.50 mg;
Excipients: magnesium hydroxycarbonate (magnesium carbonate heavy) - 131.96 mg, lactose monohydrate (tabletose-80) - 50.10 mg, castor oil - 35.15 mg, magnesium alumometasilicate (neusilin UFL2) - 27.11 mg, talc - 6, 38 mg, potato starch - 5.62 mg, disodium edetate dihydrate (Trilon B) - 0.02 mg.

Dosage and Administration
Urolesan is applied inside, before food, on 1 capsule 3 times a day. In the event of renal and hepatic colic, a single dose can be once increased to 2 capsules, then at subsequent doses return to the usual single dose (1 capsule).
Capsules should be taken without chewing, with a small amount of water. In acute conditions (including renal and hepatic colic), the duration of therapy is from 5 to 7 days, in chronic conditions - up to 1 month. Increasing the duration and conducting a second course of treatment is possible only on the recommendation of a doctor.
Adverse reactions
From the digestive system: dyspeptic symptoms (heartburn, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea).
Allergic reactions: itching, redness of the face, skin rash, angioedema (feeling of sore throat, difficulty breathing, swelling of the face, tongue).
From the central and peripheral nervous system: dizziness, general weakness.
Since the cardiovascular system: increase / decrease in blood pressure.
Contraindications
- hypersensitivity to the drug;
- lactose intolerance, lactase deficiency or glucose-galactase malabsorption;
- hyperacid gastritis, gastric ulcer and duodenal ulcer;
- the diameter of kidney stones exceeds 3 mm;
- age up to 18 years.
Pregnancy and Lactation
The use of the drug during pregnancy and during breastfeeding is contraindicated (efficacy and safety have not been studied).

Before using the drug should consult a doctor! In the event of acute conditions, consult a doctor immediately! In chronic conditions, if there is no effect on the background of taking the drug for 5-7 days, you should consult a doctor. In the event of side effects or adverse reactions that are not listed in the instructions, you should stop taking the drug and consult a doctor.
Overdosage
May increase dose-related side effects (including nausea, vomiting, dizziness). Symptomatic treatment: plentiful warm drink, rest, Activated charcoal, atropine sulfate.
