Verrucacid

Dosage and Administration

Outwardly. Apply precisely on the area to be treated with a special applicator or a small thin wooden stick, avoiding contact with neighboring areas and mucous membranes.

Small papillomas (up to 2 mm) and filamentous warts: lubricate once.

Larger papillomas and small warts (2–3 mm): lubricate 3-4 times, taking breaks to dry the solution.

Warts on the hands and soles: treated 7–10 times with an interval of 3-4 minutes.

Keratomas and dry calluses: process 3-4 times with an interval of 3-4 minutes.

Before wart removal on the brushes with a dense cornified surface, plantar warts, keratomas and dry calluses, they are softened with keratolytic ointment (for example, salicylic), covering the smeared area with compress paper or plastic wrap and, above them, a gauze dressing. Perhaps sticking plaster. Then the bandage or plaster is removed, the skin is steamed in hot water with the addition of soap and soda for 10–15 minutes and the horny layers are cut off with nail scissors or forceps. The drug is applied to the dried skin several times with an interval of 3-4 minutes for drying.

If necessary, repeated application of the drug in order to avoid burns of the surrounding skin, it is advisable to lubricate it with zinc paste. The paste is removed with a dry gauze pad after the last portion of the preparation dries.

Genital warts: removed in the treatment room (not recommended on their own), applying the drug to each element individually 1-2 times with an interval of 3-4 minutes.

Repeated processing, if necessary, is carried out 6–8 days after the crust falls off. Allowed to repeat the procedure 4-5 times.

Adverse reactions

Swelling and redness of the eyelid (when processing foci near the eyes). Passes by itself.

Contraindications

Nevi (including birthmarks), skin lesions more than 20 cm2; rashes, located on the red border of the lips and mucous membranes, children's age (up to 7 years).

Drug interactions

The components of the drug are easily dissolved in the ointment base, therefore, it is not recommended to lubricate the areas treated with Verrucacid with any ointments.

Pregnancy and Lactation

Perhaps if the expected effect of therapy outweighs the potential risk to the fetus or child. During lactation, it is not recommended to remove lesions located on the mammary glands and hands.

Special instructions

Avoid contact with healthy skin and mucous membranes (especially the eyes). In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and consult an ophthalmologist.

You can not bandage, glue with a plaster or smear the treated areas with ointment, remove crusts, reapply the drug before the specified dates. It is necessary to ensure the drying of the treated area in the air, to exclude its contact with clothes made of synthetic fabric, do not wash on the first day.

It is not recommended to apply Verrucacid on the formations that are in the skin folds (inguinal folds, anal area, interdigital spaces, etc.) and strongly sweating areas, in order to avoid burns of unaffected skin.

If necessary, repeated application of the drug in order to avoid burns of the surrounding skin, it is advisable to lubricate it with zinc paste. The paste is removed with a dry gauze pad after the last portion of Verrucacide dries.

In case of accidental ingestion of the drug on healthy skin, it is necessary to immediately, carefully, without rubbing, remove it from the skin, and then treat affected areas with ethyl alcohol of 10–40% or alcohol-containing liquids (lotion, cologne) and rinse thoroughly with warm water and soap.

In the event of a burn, it is recommended to use anti-burn and healing agents.

Special care should be taken when using the drug in children.
