Vibrocil drug with vasoconstrictor and antiallergic action for local use in ENT practice.
Phenylephrine-sympathomimetic, when applied topically, has a moderate vasoconstrictor effect (due to stimulation of the alpha-adrenoreceptors of the venous vessels of the nasal mucosa), eliminates swelling of the nasal mucosa and its paranasal sinuses.
Dimetinden is a blocker of histamine H1 receptors. Has an antiallergic effect. Does not reduce the activity of the ciliated epithelium of the nasal mucosa.
Vibrocil is intended for topical use, and its activity does not depend on the concentration of active substances in the blood plasma.

1 ml of solution contains:
Active substances: phenylephrine 2.5 mg, dimetindene maleate 250 mcg
Excipients: benzalkonium chloride 50% solution (in terms of benzalkonium chloride) - 0.2 mg (0.1 mg), citric acid monohydrate - 2.6 mg, sodium hydrogen phosphate - 4.4 mg, sorbitol - 35 mg, lavender oil - 0.2 mg, water - to 1 ml.

Dosage and Administration
Children under the age of 1 year: contraindicated.
Children aged 1 to 6 years (under the supervision of adults): 1-2 drops in each nasal passage 3-4 times / day.
Children aged 6 to 12 years (under the supervision of adults): 3-4 drops in each nasal passage 3-4 times / day.
Adolescents over the age of 12 years and adults: 3-4 drops in each nasal passage 3-4 times / day.
Before use, it is recommended to thoroughly clean the nasal passages; buried in the nose, head thrown back. This position of the head is maintained for several minutes.
The drug should not be used continuously for more than 7 days. If symptoms persist, consult a physician.
Local reactions: burning sensation and dryness of the nasal mucosa.
WITHcaution: in cardiovascular diseases (arterial hypertension, arrhythmias, generalized atherosclerosis), thyroid diseases, closed-angle glaucoma, benign prostatic hyperplasia, insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus.
WITHcaution: Patients with severe reactions to sympathomimetics, such as insomnia and dizziness.
It should not be prescribed at the same time the drug with tricyclic antidepressants or antihypertensive drugs, for example, beta-blockers.
Pregnancy and Lactation
Given the possible systemic vasoconstrictor action, Vibrocil is not recommended for use during pregnancy and lactation.
Vibrocil should not be used for more than 1 week without consulting a doctor. Prolonged (more than 2 weeks) or excessive use of the drug, exceeding the recommended doses can cause tachyphylaxis and medical rhinitis, leading to the development of a systemic vasoconstrictor action.
Do not exceed the recommended dose of Vibrocil. Otherwise, the appearance of symptoms of systemic action of the drug.
Use in pediatrics. Apply to children under 6 years.
Impact on the ability to drive vehicles and control mechanisms. Vibrocil does not have a sedative effect (does not affect the speed of psychomotor reactions).
Symptoms: in case of accidental intake of Vibrocil by small children, no serious side effects are noted. In most cases, overdose symptoms were absent, but sometimes symptoms such as tiredness, pain in the stomach, tachycardia, hypertension, agitation, insomnia, pallor of the skin (most often in children with occasional ingestion) were reported.
Treatment: the use of Activated charcoal and possibly a laxative (gastric lavage is not required); adults and children over the age of 6 years are shown to administer large amounts of fluid. There is no specific antidote.
