Dosage and Administration
2 filter bags (4.0 g) are placed in a glass or enamel bowl, pour 200 ml (1 cup) of boiling water, cover and infuse for 15 minutes, periodically pressing the teabags with a spoon, then squeezing them. The volume of the resulting infusion is brought to 200 ml with boiled water.
Administered orally on 1 / 2-1 glass for the night. The duration of treatment depends on the nature of the disease, the effect achieved, the nature of concomitant therapy, and is determined by the attending physician.
Before use, the infusion is recommended to shake.
Adverse reactions
Allergic reactions are possible; with prolonged use of the infusion, constipation, thirst, loss of body weight, headache, pain in the heart, hypokalemia.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to the drug; acute stomach syndrome, gastric ulcer and duodenal ulcer in the period of exacerbation, intestinal obstruction, strangulated hernia, pregnancy, breastfeeding period, children under 12 years of age.
Drug interactions
Drugs that contain senna reduce the absorption of tetracycline.
Overdosage
In case of overdose, due to a pronounced laxative effect, potassium loss can be observed with symptoms of hypokalemia. Treatment: symptomatic.
