Clinical Pharmacology

Combined product of plant origin, contains an extract of damyanki medicinal and an extract of milk thistle.

Dymian extract medicinal, containing alkaloid fumarin, normalizes the amount of secreted bile, relieves spasm of the gallbladder and bile ducts, facilitating the flow of bile into the intestine.

Milk thistle fruit extract contains silymarin, which exhibits a hepatoprotective effect in acute and chronic intoxications, binds free radicals and toxic substances in the liver tissue, has antioxidant and membrane stabilizing activity, stimulates protein synthesis, promotes the restoration of liver cells.

Hepabene normalizes liver function in various chronic pathological conditions.

Indications

In the complex therapy of biliary dyskinesia (including after cholecystectomy).
As part of complex therapy for chronic hepatitis.
As part of complex therapy for chronic toxic liver damage.

Composition

1 capsule contains:

Active substances: dry extract of smoke grass 275.1 mg, incl. Protopina 4.13 mg dry extract of milk thistle fruit 83.1 mg, incl. Silymarin 50 mg with a silibinin content of at least 22 mg.

Excipients: microcrystalline cellulose - 80.1 mg, corn starch - 20.1 mg, talc - 8.4 mg, macrogol 6000 - 4.5 mg, copolyvidone - 4.5 mg, magnesium stearate - 2.1 mg, silicon dioxide - 2 , 1 mg.

The composition of the capsule shell: gelatin - 79.94 mg, iron oxide yellow - 0.67 mg, iron oxide red - 0.15 mg, iron oxide black - 0.04 mg, titanium dioxide - 1.29 mg, purified water - 13.92 mg.

Dosage and Administration

The drug should be taken orally during the meal, without chewing, with a small amount of water.

Adults: the drug is prescribed 1 capsule 3 times / day.

In case of night pain syndrome, it is recommended to take another 1 capsule at bedtime.

If necessary, the daily dose of the drug can be increased to 6 capsules (maximum daily dose) in 3-4 doses per day.

Adverse reactions

Maybe: allergic reactions.

Sometimes: laxative effect, increased diuresis.

Contraindications

Acute inflammatory diseases of the liver and biliary tract.
Children and adolescents up to 18 years.
Hypersensitivity to the drug.
