Clinical Pharmacology
Antiviral agent, has immunomodulatory and anti-influenza effect, specifically inhibits influenza A and B viruses.
Indications
Prevention and treatment in adults and children:
- influenza caused by viruses A and B;
- acute respiratory viral infections (ARVI) (including those complicated by bronchitis, pneumonia);
- secondary immunodeficiency states.
Combined therapy of chronic bronchitis, pneumonia and recurrent herpes infection.
Prevention of postoperative infectious complications and normalization of the immune status in adults.
Composition
Active ingredient: 6-bromo-5-hydroxy-1-methyl-4-dimethylaminomethyl-2-phenylthiomethylindole-3-carboxylic acid ethyl ester hydrochloride monohydrate - 50 mg

Dosage and Administration
Orally, before meals. Single dose: children from 3 to 6 years old - 50 mg, from 6 to 12 years old - 100 mg, over 12 years old and adults - 200 mg (2 pills of 100 mg or 4 pills of 50 mg).
For non-specific prophylaxis
With direct contact with patients with influenza and other acute respiratory viral infections: children from 3 to 6 years old - 50 mg, from 6 to 12 years old - 100 mg, over 12 years old and adults - 200 mg 1 time a day for 10-14 days.
During the epidemic of influenza and other acute respiratory viral infections, to prevent exacerbations of chronic bronchitis, recurrence of herpes infection: children from 3 to 6 years old - 50 mg, from 6 to 12 years old - 100 mg, over 12 years old and adults - 200 mg 2 times a week in for 3 weeks.
Prevention of postoperative complications: children from 3 to 6 years old - 50 mg, from 6 to 12 years old - 100 mg, over 12 years old and adults - 200 mg 2 days before surgery, then 2 and 5 days after surgery.
For treatment
Influenza, other acute respiratory viral infections without complications: children from 3 to 6 years old - 50 mg, from 6 to 12 years old - 100 mg, over 12 years old and adults - 200 mg 4 times a day (every 6 hours) for 5 days.
Influenza, other acute respiratory viral infections with complications (bronchitis, pneumonia and others): children from 3 to 6 years old - 50 mg, from 6 to 12 years old - 100 mg, over 12 years old and adults - 200 mg 4 times a day (every 6 hours ) for 5 days, then a single dose 1 time per week for 4 weeks.
