Clinical Pharmacology
The active ingredient of the drug is sodium alginate, a natural polysaccharide derived from brown seaweed. It has a pronounced hemostatic, anti-inflammatory and reparative effect.
Indications
Chronic anal fissures in the epithelialization stage, chronic bleeding hemorrhoids, proctosigmoiditis, and inflammation of the rectum in the postoperative period.
Composition
One suppository contains: active ingredient - sodium alginate (sodium alginate) - 250 mg; suppository bases: solid fat (Witepsol, supposir) - sufficient amount to obtain a suppository weighing 2.25 g.

Dosage and Administration
Rectally. The suppository is injected into the rectum after spontaneous bowel movements or cleansing enemas, pre-moistened with water. Adults and children over the age of 14 use 1 suppository 2 times a day. The duration of the course of treatment with Natalsid® is 7-14 days.
