Clinical Pharmacology
Rinzasip is a combination drug used for colds for symptomatic therapy.
Paracetamol is an antipyretic analgesic that reduces pain observed in colds — sore throat, headache, muscle and joint pain, and low body temperature.
Phenylephrine is a sympathomimetic, has a vasoconstrictor effect on peripheral vessels, reduces swelling and hyperemia of the mucous membrane of the upper respiratory tract and sinuses.
Pheniramine - a blocker of histamine H1 receptors, has antiallergic effect: eliminates itching (including eye, nose), swelling and hyperemia of the mucous membranes of the nasal cavity, nasopharynx and sinuses, reduces the phenomenon of exudation.
Caffeine has a stimulating effect on the central nervous system, which reduces fatigue and drowsiness and increases mental and physical performance.
Ascorbic acid (vitamin C) fills the increased need for vitamin C for colds and flu and increases the body's resistance.
Indications
Symptomatic treatment of colds, flu, acute respiratory viral infections (feverish syndrome, pain syndrome, rhinorrhea).

Dosage and Administration
Adults and children over 15 years old are prescribed 1 sachet of Rinzasip 3-4 times a day with intervals between doses of at least 4-6 hours. The maximum daily dose is 4 sachets. The course of treatment should not exceed 5 days.
Rinzasip take 1-2 hours after meals with plenty of fluids.
Contents of 1 sachet are dissolved in 1 glass of hot water (stirred until complete dissolution). You can add sugar or honey.
Adverse reactions
From the side of the central nervous system: dizziness, sleep disturbance, irritability, mydriasis, increased intraocular pressure, accommodation paresis.
Since the cardiovascular system: increased blood pressure, tachycardia.
On the part of the digestive system: nausea, epigastric pain, dry mouth, hepatotoxic effect.
From the hematopoietic system: anemia, thrombocytopenia, agranulocytosis, hemolytic anemia, aplastic anemia, methemoglobinemia, pancytopenia.
On the part of the urinary system: urinary retention, nephrotoxic effect (papillary necrosis).
Allergic reactions: skin rash, itching, urticaria, angioedema.
Other: broncho-obstructive syndrome.
Contraindications
Carefully: pronounced atherosclerosis of the coronary arteries, arterial hypertension, thyrotoxicosis, pheochromocytoma, diabetes mellitus, bronchial asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, deficiency of glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase, blood diseases, congenital hyperbilirubinemia (Gilbert syndrome, Dubina, syndromes, syndrome, congenital hyperbilirubinemia renal failure, angle-closure glaucoma, prostatic hyperplasia.
In the absence of a therapeutic effect (hyperthermia for more than 3 days and pain for more than 5 days), consult a doctor.
The drug contains sucrose, which must be considered for patients suffering from diabetes, as well as patients who are on a low-calorie diet. In 1 single dose of the drug contains from 2915 to 3136.0 mg of sucrose, which corresponds to 0.24–0.26 XE.
Drug interactions
When used together, Rinzasip enhances the effects of MAO inhibitors, sedatives, ethanol.
When used together with the drug Rinzasip antidepressants, anti-Parkinsonian drugs, antipsychotics, phenothiazine derivatives increase the risk of urinary retention, dry mouth, constipation.
When combined use of GCS increases the risk of glaucoma.
Paracetamol reduces the effectiveness of simultaneously used diuretics.
Tricyclic antidepressants increase the adrenomimetic effect of phenylephrine, and administration with halothane increases the risk of developing ventricular arrhythmias.
When used together, Rinzasip reduces the antihypertensive effect of guanethidine, which in turn enhances the alpha-adrenostimulatory effect of phenylephrine.
With the simultaneous use of Rinzasipa with barbiturates, difenin, carbamazepine, rifampicin and other inducers of liver microsomal enzymes increases the risk of the development of the hepatotoxic effect of paracetamol.
Pregnancy and Lactation
The drug is contraindicated in pregnancy and lactation.
Special instructions
The patient should be informed that if the drug has become unusable or the expiration date has expired, then it should not be thrown into the wastewater or on the street. It is necessary to put the drug in the bag and put it in the trash. These measures will help protect the environment.
Influence on ability to drive motor transport and control mechanisms

Overdosage
Symptoms of overdose due to the effects of paracetamol, manifested when taking the drug in a dose corresponding to 10-15 g of paracetamol.
Symptoms: pallor of the skin, anorexia, nausea, vomiting, increased activity of hepatic transaminases, hepatonecrosis, liver failure (increased prothrombin time).
Treatment: gastric lavage, inside - activated charcoal; symptomatic therapy, the introduction of methionine after 8-9 h after overdose and N-acetylcysteine after 12 h.
