Clinical Pharmacology
Vitaprost has an organotropic effect on the prostate gland. Reduces the degree of edema, leukocyte infiltration of the prostate gland, normalizes the secretory function of epithelial cells, increases the number of lecithin grains in the secret of acini, stimulates bladder muscle tone. It improves microcirculation in the prostate gland by reducing thrombus formation, antiplatelet activity, and prevents the development of venules thrombosis in the prostate gland.
Vitaprost normalizes the parameters of the secretion of the prostate gland and ejaculate. Reduces pain and discomfort, eliminates dysuric phenomena, improves copulatory function.
Indications
Chronic abacterial prostatitis. State before and after surgery on the prostate gland.
Composition
One suppository contains: active ingredient: prostate extract - 50 mg, in terms of water-soluble peptides - 10 mg; suppository bases: solid fat (Witepsol, marks H 15, W 35, Supposir, marks NA 15, NAS 50) - sufficient amount to obtain a suppository weighing 1.25 g

Dosage and Administration
Rectally. On 1 suppository after spontaneous bowel movements or cleansing enema 1 time per day. After the introduction, it is desirable to stay in bed for 30-40 minutes.
The duration of treatment is determined by the attending physician. The minimum duration of a course of treatment with Vitaprost® Forte with benign prostatic hyperplasia is 15 days, with chronic prostatitis - 10 days, with an overactive bladder - 20 days.
