Clinical Pharmacology
Meteospasmyl is a combination drug. It has a spasmolytic effect, reduces flatulence in the intestines.
Alverin - myotropic antispasmodic, whose action is not accompanied by atropine-like effect or ganglioblokiruyuschego activity. Reduces the increased tone of the smooth muscles of the intestine.
Simethicone - hydrophobic polymeric substance with low surface tension, reducing gas formation in the intestine and covering the gastrointestinal wall with a protective film.
Indications
Functional disorders of the gastrointestinal tract, manifested by abdominal pain, increased gas formation, belching, nausea, constipation, diarrhea or alternation; Preparation for X-ray, ultrasound or instrumental examination of the abdominal organs.
Composition
1 capsule contains:
Active substances: Alverina Citrate 60 mg; simethicone 300 mg;
Excipients: soy lecithin; medium density triglycerides;
Shell composition: gelatin; glycerol; titanium dioxide; purified water.

Dosage and Administration
For oral use. The drug is prescribed in 1 caps. 2-3 times a day before meals.
In preparation for the study of the abdominal cavity, the drug is prescribed 1 capsule 2-3 times a day on the eve of the study and 1 capsule on the morning of the study.
Adverse reactions
Allergic reactions: rarely - urticaria (disappears when treatment is stopped), laryngeal edema, shock.
From the digestive system: rarely, liver dysfunction (disappear when treatment is stopped).
Contraindications
- Individual intolerance to alverin citrate and other components of the drug.
- Children under 14 years old.
- Pregnancy.
