Clinical Pharmacology
Vikair is a combination drug that has astringent, antacid, laxative and antispasmodic action. Magnesium carbonate reduces the acidity of gastric juice, reduces the activity of pepsin. Bismuth nitrate forms a protective film on the mucous membrane of the stomach, providing an anti-inflammatory, bactericidal, reparative effect.
Part of calamus, which has a spasmolytic effect, and buckthorn, which has a laxative effect, help to improve the passage through the intestines.
Indications
Peptic ulcer of the stomach and duodenum, hyperacid gastritis.
Composition
1 tablet contains:
Active substances: bismuth nitrate basic 350 mg, magnesium carbonate basic 400 mg, sodium bicarbonate 200 mg, powder of rhizome of calamus and buckthorn bark (finely ground) 25 mg.

Dosage and Administration
Orally, after 1–1.5 hours 3 times after a meal, drinking 1–2 pills with a small amount (1/4 cup) of water.
The course of treatment is 1-2 months (if necessary, repeat the course).
Adverse reactions
Coloring feces in black.
Contraindications
Gipatsidny gastritis.
Drug interactions
Against the background of taking m-holinoblokatorov or histamine N blockers2-receptors decreases the need for the use of the drug.
Reduces tetracycline absorption. In combination with other drugs containing bismuth, the concentration of bismuth in the blood increases.
Pregnancy and Lactation
Vikair not recommended during pregnancy and lactation.
Special instructions
Vikair is not advisable to appoint patients with peptic ulcer in combination with chronic appendicitis, enterocolitis, cholecystitis and patients with a tendency to bleeding.
