Clinical Pharmacology

Candidirme - anti-inflammatory, antiallergic, antibacterial, antifungal agent.

Clotrimazole has antifungal effect due to a violation of the synthesis of ergosterol, which is an integral part of the cell membrane of fungi. Active against; Trichophyton rubrum, Trichophyton mentagrophytes, Epidermophyton floccosum, Microsporum canis, Candida albicans, Malassezia furfur (Pityrosporum orbiculare). Beclomethasone has anti-inflammatory, anti-allergic, anti-exudative and antipruritic action. It inhibits the accumulation of leukocytes, the release of lysosomal enzymes and inflammatory mediators, inhibits phagocytosis, reduces vascular tissue permeability, prevents the formation of inflammatory edema.
Gentamicin is a broad-spectrum antibiotic from the group of aminoglycosides, has a bactericidal effect against Gram-negative bacteria - Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Enterobacter aerogenes, Escherichia coli, Proteus vulgaris, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Gram-positive bacteria: Streptococcus spp., Staococcus, Streptococcus spp., Staphylococcus pneumoniae, Gram-positive bacteria:

Indications

dermatosis, complicated by secondary infection;
athlete's foot;
dermatomycosis (including with localization in the inguinal region) caused by pathogens that are sensitive to the drug.

Composition

1 g of cream contains:

Active substances: Clotrimazole - 10.0 mg, beclomethasone dipropionate - 0.25 mg, gentamicin sulfate, which is equivalent to gentamicin-1 mg;

Excipients: propylene glycol, cetomacrogol, petrolatum, liquid paraffin, benzyl alcohol, methyl parahydroxybenzoate (methyl paraben) propilparagidroksi-benzoate (propylparaben), butyl hydroxy toluene, sodium dihydrogen phosphate monohydrate, sodium hydrogen phosphate, purified water.

Dosage and Administration

Topically Apply a thin layer to the affected skin 2 times a day (morning and evening). The duration of treatment depends on the effectiveness and tolerability of therapy and is usually 2-4 weeks (not more).

Children (7–16 years old) are prescribed the drug strictly under the supervision of a physician.

Adverse reactions

Local reactions: burning sensation, hyperemia, erythema, desquamation, dryness, maceration, skin atrophy, striae, hypertrichosis, folliculitis, prickly heat, steroid acne, perioral dermatitis, telangiectasia, hypopigmentation, pyoderma, furunculosis.

Allergic reactions: swelling, urticaria, allergic contact dermatitis.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the components of the Candida drug,
lupus,
skin manifestations of syphilis,
chickenpox,
herpes simplex
skin reactions after vaccination,
children up to 7 years
pregnancy,
lactation period
open wounds.

Pregnancy and Lactation

For children, the drug is prescribed only under strict indications and under medical supervision, since it is possible to develop systemic side effects associated with beclomethasone. When using the drug on extensive surfaces and / or under an occlusive dressing, suppression of the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal system and the development of symptoms of hypercorticism may occur, a decrease in growth hormone excretion, an increase in intracranial pressure may be observed.

Overdosage

If you exceed the recommended dose may develop symptoms of hypercortisolism: weight gain, the formation of edema, hypertension, glucosuria, hypokalemia.

Treatment: symptomatic therapy, if necessary, conduct electrolyte balance correction. Gradual withdrawal of the drug is recommended.
