Clinical Pharmacology

Dr. Theiss Eucalyptus has anti-inflammatory, irritant, expectorant, antiseptic. It irritates the receptors of the mucous membranes, skin and subcutaneous formations, which is accompanied by the release of enkephalins, endorphins and other peptides that regulate pain sensitivity, vascular permeability, etc., and manifests an analgesic and anti-inflammatory effect. Expectorant effect due to stimulation of the ciliary epithelium of the mucous membranes, increased bronchial secretion, sputum dilution. Promotes faster evacuation of sputum from the respiratory tract. Causes the death of many gram-positive and gram-negative microorganisms (including Staphylococcus aureus and Mycobacterium tuberculosis)

Indications

Inflammatory diseases of the upper and lower respiratory tract, including bronchitis, accompanied by the formation of sputum difficult to separate and cough - as part of complex therapy.

Dosage and Administration

Topically. Adults and children over 3 years old apply the ointment on the skin of the back and chest and rub it with light massage movements, then cover the smeared place with a warm flannel or wool towel to keep warm. The procedure is repeated several times a day, especially at night.

Inhalation. Prepare a hot solution (in 0.5–1 liter of hot water, but not boiling water, dissolve 2 teaspoons of the preparation) and carry out inhalation for 5–10 minutes.

Adverse reactions

Allergic reactions, bronchospasm are possible. In rare cases - the development of seizures caused by the action of camphor.

Contraindications
