Pharmacological properties
The drug has expectorant, anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial (bacteriostatic) action.
Indications
The drug is used in the treatment of inflammatory diseases of the upper respiratory tract, accompanied by dry cough; as well as dry cough smokers.
Composition
5 ml (6.6 g): Active ingredients: Plantain lanceolate leaves extract liquid (1: 5) * (Plantaginis lanceolantae herbae Extractum aquosum, plantain family-Plantaginaceae (1: 5), extractant-water) 1.25 g, mallow flowers extract liquid (1: 5) ** (Malvae sylvestris flos extractum aquosum, family- malvaceous-Malvaceae (1: 5), extractant-water) 1.25 g, ascorbic acid 65 mg Excipients: Sucrose, methyl parahydroxybenzoate, (E218), orange oil * Aqueous extract of plantain lanceolate (1: 5) prepared: - plantain lanceolate leaves - purified water ** Aqueous extract of mallow flowers (1: 5) prepared: - mallow flowers - purified water The ratio of 1: 5 corresponds to the ratio of medicinal herbs: extract: from 1 part of medicinal herbs get 5 parts of the extract.

Dosage and Administration
Dr. Theiss syrup with plantain is taken orally with a small amount of water:children from 1 year to 6 years take 1/2 tsp (2.5 ml) every 3-4 hours, but not more than 4 times a day;children over 6 years old and teenagers - 1 tsp (5 ml) every 2-3 hours, but not more than 4 times per day;for adults- 1 tbsp every 2-3 hours

Allergic reactions are possible.
Contraindications
Increased individual sensitivity to the components of the drug; children's age (up to 1 year).
Pregnancy and Lactation
Dr. Theiss syrup with plantain can be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding in consultation with your doctor.
Special instructions
Dr. Theiss syrup with plantain contains sucrose, which must be considered for patients with diabetes, as well as a low-calorie diet.
